Moving

OFF TO UNION ISLAND
A ST. VINCENT GRENADINE

But first we needed to fill up on diesel and gasoline and water.

It ain't cheap, but it's the cheapest around: duty free!

Mom, dad and 2 year old son came in for fuel and a dip!

The boy reminded me of Susan Beer's son Aaron
who started swimming when he was 6-months old.

MOI!

We saw 32 and 34 gusts of wind, but I only caught the 30.

Down with Grenada's courtesy flag
& up with the Q flag for checking into another country.

On a mooring buoy now hiding out from the squall.

Got checked in and now enjoyed the sunset.

Washer-dryer combo

WD 2100

We brought back a new pump for our washer/dryer combo
because the Splendide tech guy old us that 5 blinks
indicated the water drainage pump was the problem..

Gene, The Repair man went to work.

The old pump. Looks shot!

We DID think good thoughts!
Turned it on the bloody machine blinked
4, 9, 11 times and still doesn't work!
GRRRRRRRRRRRRR . . .

Leaving Grenada

BON VOYAGE GRENADA

We woke and hurried to get the mainsail up.
For the most part, we beat the squall.
Gene got stuck out in it . . .

Around Pt. Saline, Grenada, Gene worked on
tucking in the rest of the mainsail's first reef.

Ah, now lookin' ship-shape.

Freighter heading into St. Georges.

Lush!

Some size to the waves crossing to Carriacou.

We got into Tyrrel Bay to find our good buddies, Kathy & Greg,
s/v Indigo, had just arrived from Trinidad. They had traveled overnight
so were exhausted and heading back out shortly. We'll see them in Bequia.

Anchored and watched the sunset. Ah, peace on earth!

Bimini up, dinghy on davits, we're ready to go!

Oops! Refer not working

Gene had to rush to ACE to get 134 A freon (sp).

Boat in distress, Gene first to the rescue.

Another dinghy finally shows up to help.

Gene muling the boat to a mooring can.

More dinks show up. Gene grabbing a mooring buoy.

GETTING READY TO
SPLASH (LAUNCH)

Gene painting the bottom
of Moody Blues' wing keel

Ah, fresh bottom paint.
Barnacles hate fresh bottom paint!

In the travel lift heading for the water.

Trucker's ratchie straps uncoiled.

Coiled.

Cincher.

Yes, the hooks are strong.
But so are hurricanes . . .

Our neighbor in the yard,
Rhum Runner,
out of the water for some R & R & paint!

Speaking of R & R,
time to celebrate getting launched!

SORRY!

HOLA FOLLOWERS,

I've messed something up.

All, but the Snorkeling and Snorkeling Again, are old posts.

I can't get to the dashboard of the newer MoodyBluesCruise blogsite I was using, so now I'm forced to use the old blogsite. I'm about to throw the computer and the antenna overboard. Gene too if he does anymore Mars to my Venus!

Sorry, I'll be posting to here now until I can ever figure out what went wrong.

Good luck, right? Later . . .

SNORKELING AGAIN

The driver is George, s/v Wildcat with Jack & Linda, s/v Xanadu. Linda is grabbing the small mooring buoy to tie the dingy up to.

Blue tang with his yellow tail buddy.

Tube sponge.

Venus sea fan.

Hawksbill turtle.

Fused staghorn coral.

Long-spined sea urchin and maybe orange tube coral.

So fun to see how the fish blend in with the rock and coral. Fun times in the water.
